An elevator adapted for the safe movement of people with disabilities has been installed in Vake Park.
Within the framework of the Tbilservice Group LLC project, following the dismantling of the old, worn-out structure, a vertical enclosed platform and a hydraulic-type elevator with a panoramic shaft were installed. The cost of the completed works amounts to 63,000 GEL.
The new elevator was inspected by the Director of Tbilservice Group, Giorgi Papava.
“We have completed the first stage of the project and installed an adapted elevator on the Vake Park side, which meets modern standards and safety regulations. It is equipped with a speed-limiting system, audio and visual overload signals, an emergency stop button, internal ventilation, and an alternative power supply system that allows the elevator to complete its movement even in the event of a power outage. Also, buttons with Braille. Generally, acts of vandalism are quite frequent, and we encourage citizens to take care of the new infrastructure and not to damage the construction. This elevator is intended for people with disabilities,” - noted Giorgi Papava.
The installation of a similar type of elevator is also planned on the opposite side of the road, in the underpass located at the beginning of Tamarashvili Avenue. Upon completion of the second stage of the project, people with disabilities will be able to move through the underpass easily and safely.
